The Dagala Thousand Lakes Trek is a scenic and culturally rich trekking route in Bhutan that takes you through alpine meadows, traditional yak herder settlements, and a series of pristine, high-altitude lakes. Located close to Thimphu, the trail offers panoramic views of the entire Himalayan range, including Mount Everest, Kangchenjunga, Jomolhari, and Masang Gang, on clear days.
Though not as remote or demanding as other Bhutan treks, Dagala stands out for its solitude, natural beauty, and high-altitude lakes scattered across untouched valleys. It’s ideal for those looking for a peaceful adventure without extreme difficulty, yet still rich in wilderness and Himalayan charm.
